Rob and David’s first venture came to life with the creation of Sigmoid Sports, an athlete and performance management company that aims to empower and support talented athletes in their pursuit of greatness within their sport. Sigmoid Sports is garnering recognition for its unparalleled dedication to nurturing athletes’ careers – both on and off respective playing fields – providing their limited number of clients with the necessary tools and resources to reach new heights of success.
As Sigmoid Sports began to grow, Rob and David’s ambition to develop athletes beyond their sport soared even higher. They realised that athletic development extended far beyond the realm of competition. Sigmoid Sports’ athletes wanted more than just guidance in their professional lives; they wanted to expand their knowledge outside of their sport, and in the business world. A shared interest in performance wear amongst the Sigmoid Sport’s athletes resulted in Sigmoid Apparel; a cutting-edge performance clothing brand that seamlessly merged fashion and function, providing athletes with the ultimate blend of style and performance innovation.
Sigmoid HQ, located in the Beacon South Quarter, Sandyford – a first-of-its-kind indoor golf center in Dublin – is home to three Trackman golf simulators, a tour-spec putting green, a renowned custom fitting service, and a coffee bar serving specialty coffee and snacks. It also houses the headquarters of Sigmoid Sports and Sigmoid Apparel, seamlessly blending the management of athletes with the creation of unique performance wear.
Building on this success, Sigmoid has expanded with the opening of its second location in the newly developed Charlemont Square, Dublin 2. This state-of-the-art facility brings the same award-winning expertise and services to the heart of the city, offering golf simulator rentals, lessons, leagues, and a vibrant space for corporate and social events.

Here, customers are not just clients; they are part of a thriving community, surrounded by coaches, mentors, and fellow sports enthusiasts who share their fervor for the game of golf. David Kearney
Director of Performance
David, a PGA Professional with over 30 years of experience, has a distinguished career that spans some of the most prestigious golf clubs in Ireland, including Royal County Down, Grange Golf Club, and Carton House. His expertise and dedication to the sport were formally recognized when he was awarded the title of five-star PGA Professional in 2019, an accolade that underscores his excellence in coaching and player development.
As the Irish Ladies High Performance Director for two decades, David revolutionized the approach to elite golf coaching in Ireland by introducing a multidisciplinary methodology. This approach brought together specialists in various aspects of the game, such as short game, putting, and long game analysis, leading to a period of unprecedented success for Irish women’s golf. Under his guidance, players like Leona Maguire emerged as top talents on the world stage. His leadership culminated in guiding Team Ireland Women’s Golf to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
David’s influence extends far beyond Ireland. He has been actively involved in global golf development, working with the R&A and the Confederation of Professional Golfers (CPG) to advise on high-performance programs in countries such as Panama, India, Brazil, Bulgaria, and Bahrain.
In his current role as Director of Performance at Sigmoid, David is know for his exceptional skills in both long game and short game coaching. He works closely with all Sigmoid Sports athletes, providing tailored coaching that enhances their performance. His expertise has also made him a sought-after coach at Sigmoid Golf, where he continues to build a reputation as one of the leading golf instructors in Ireland.

Rob Browne
Managing Director
Upon obtaining his B.Sc in Sports Management, with a specialisation in Sports Marketing, Strategic Planning, and Event Management from University College Dublin, Rob embarked on an exciting journey in New York City. He joined Five Iron Golf, where he immersed himself in the dynamic sports and entertainment industry, gaining invaluable experience.
Notably, Rob played a pivotal role during a significant expansion phase for Five Iron Golf, experiencing the launch of three new locations in Chicago, Baltimore, and Philadelphia. As a key member of their marketing team, he worked on the development of diverse partnerships and activation opportunities.
In 2021, Rob furthered his experience by working closely with industry experts in Platinum One Sports Management whilst also expanding his education by completing an online course in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School Online – recognising the importance of this area as the Sigmoid companies continue to grow.
Coming from a sporting background, Rob’s passion for sport runs deep. He actively participated in various sports during his youth, earning representative honours in hockey and competing in high-level amateur golf for a number of years.
Rob assumes the responsibility of managing daily operations for Sigmoid Sports & Sigmoid Apparel. He efficiently oversees the commercial and logistical aspects of all offerings, ensuring smooth execution and high quality client experiences.
He is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of Sigmoid Golf, including managing client relationships, optimizing event experiences, and driving the company’s growth strategy.
